Silane-siloxane based super-hydrophobic waterproofing agent Ultratect WR
category
Ultratect WR was used in the complete renovation of a traditional wooden residence from the Taisho era, located in Nishi-Waseda.
As the official residence of an ambassador, where guests and dignitaries from Japan and abroad are frequently received, maintaining earthquake resistance, thermal insulation, and aesthetic appearance was essential.
Ultratect WR, known for its high stain resistance, was selected for this project.
By applying Ultratect WR during construction, the building’s surfaces are protected from rain streaks, dust, and moss, helping to maintain a clean appearance over a long period.

For tiled areas, Ultratect WR enhances water repellency and stain resistance on both tile surfaces and grout lines. Additionally, the treatment penetrates beneath the surface to improve adhesion, helping prevent issues such as tile detachment.
